I have been a faithful listener to Worldview since 1994 when Jerome took over Sondra Gair’s midday show. He has served and improved upon her legacy with unmatched enthusiasm and integrity for 25 years. To state in as simple and stark terms as possible: It is far and away the best international affairs program ever produced in any broadcast medium. If you let it die, WBEZ might as well join it. WBEZ’s personal relevance to me and Chicago’s relevance to the world will be forever lost without it. It is the single most important legacy to the original programming mission of WBEZ left. It informs, educates, and elevates the thought of anyone who listens to it. I let my 18 year membership lapse in 2015. Without Worldview on the air, there is no reason for me to ever renew it.
